Introduction:

A village market is a buying and selling place of villagers.

Location:

A Village market generally sits by the riverside of the roadside under a bayan tree

Kinds of village market:

There are two kinds of village market .There are 'Hat'and 'Bazar'.The daily market is called "Bazar" On the contrary,the market which is held once or twice a week is called "Hat".On the contrary ,the weekly market sits once or twice a week in the evening .

Description/ Arrangement of shops/Commodities available :

Usually a Village market has three parts.They are open space,temporary shed, permanent shed.On market days the shops are arranged n rows according to things for sale .Fish,milk,fruit,betel's and vegetables are sold in open space.All these shops are mostly temporary.Grocers cloth dealers,tailors,potters have permanent shop.There is also particular place of selling cows and goats.

Importance /Usefulness :

The village market is very useful to the villagers.Here they get all things to their daily need.It saves the villagers from going to distance places to buy things.The villagers sell their crops and other goods here easily .They also get news from here.The postman delivers here.In fact, a village market is the meeting place of the villagers.

Disadvantages/Demerits/Drawbacks

A village market has some drawbacks too.In a village market all kind people gather there.Thus a noisy environment is created. Sometimes the pickpockets also gather there .

The Prize Date at my School

Introduction:

The Sports day or a prize giving ceremony is an important occasion in the life of every student. Our school management gorgeously arranges this day every year with outstanding achievements although the year and those who win the events of the annual sports are given prizes on this day.

Preparation :

This day generally observed in February in our school.The memory of this day last year ever fresh in my mind .On that day the atmosphere of the school appears in a festive mood.We decorated the school premises with numerous flowers.flags, and festoons.The headmaster presided over the ceremony.

The arrivals of the guest:

The chief guest was the local MP ,The chairman of Comilla Board was specialist guest.The guest arrived at 9.30 AM ,The guardian of the students were seated in the rows allotted .the Ceremony started at 10:00 AM with recitation from the Holy Quran.

Description:

Then the Sport event started .There were several sports events such as high jump ,long jump,100 metre race ,400 metre race ctc.The guests were very pleased to our performance in games and sports.The chief guest and the special guest appreciated our performance.They encouraged us to take part in sports and games.

Distribution of prizes:

After completing the sport event the Headmaster read out his annual reports.He recalled the progress report that had been carried through during past years,the achievement of our president ex students in various field of activities .The Headmaster declared the names of the students who cut an excellent figure in the year figure in the year final exam.These students were also given given prizes for their brilliant result.Then the Headmaster announced the names of prize winner who imparted on the day’s sports events.The chief guest gave away the prizes among the students.

My rule:

I got the second prize as I placed myself second in the final annual exam list.Then I also got first prize for the 100 meter race.

Cultural Function:

In the afternoon splendid cultural programmes were arranged .We acted Shakespear’s “The merchant of venice “on the stage .One of my best friends,Nilu played the role of Portia while I played the role of Bassanio. The audience were very pleased to watch our performance .

Conclusion :

Finally.The chief guest rose to speak and he congratulated the institution ,the teachers,the students,and in fact ,everybody for the good works done in the past year and for the days sports performance .At 6:PM various programme that were arranged came to an end.It was really a happy day for the students of our school
